It is supposed to be announced as soon as next week

In the run-up to the launch of the Switch OLED model next month, there is a story going around that the Switch base model (which was originally launched in March 2017) received a price reduction. This information comes from “I want Alerts‘: a Twitter account with more than 80,000 followers that apparently “has proven to be reliable and reputable in the past.”
The source says that this price reduction will occur next week in France, reducing the cost of the system from 329 to 270 euros.
While there is no news of a similar price reduction occurring in other parts of the world, it would not necessarily be a surprise for Nintendo or retailers elsewhere to take the same action elsewhere. At this time it is unclear whether it would be temporary or permanent and there are suggestions that the new model could replace the original system.
Could you see a price reduction like this before the launch of the new model? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
