Ryan Braun announces his retirement after 14 years

On May 25, 2007, Ryan Braun began his career as a Major League Player with the Milwaukee Brewers.

This Tuesday, this path has come to an end 14 years later.

The historic leader of quadrangulars in the franchise, six times convened the All-Star Game and Most Valuable Player in the National League in 2011 has announced his retirement as an active player.

Braun, 37, played his entire 14-year career in the Seniors with the Brewers, between 2007 and 2020. He is among the leaders in virtually every offensive category in club history.

Brewers fans will have the opportunity to celebrate with Ryan in a ceremony on the field prior to the game on Sunday, Sept. 26, against the Mets.

“It’s hard to describe my emotions today, but it all starts with a huge thank you for those who have shared this experience with me, offering their unconditional support along the way,” Braun said as part of a sharing message on social media.
