Samsung took a look at CES this year, announcing a list of new TVs that feature their new mini LED technology in their Neo QLED TVs and delve into its emissive Micro LED display technology that will take OLED in the next few years. However, for some people, the real star of Samsung’s 2021 TV line is nothing like a TV. The Frame, a TV set designed to look like a framed portrait, is being restored in 2021 and fans of this imaginative TV couldn’t be more excited.
The most significant change in this year’s Iteration of The Frame has to do with the frame itself (i.e. the bezel), which Samsung managed to reduce in strength; it is now 46% thinner than previous versions and looks more like a framed portrait as a result.

Picture frames and screen drawings can be customized.
Samsung offers fixable bezels in five different color variants, so fans of The Frame can pick and choose how they would like to present their TV to the world. In addition, these colors are presented in two new styles, “Modern” and “Beveled”, which allows owners to better combine The Frame with their environment.
While information on size and pricing is still scarce, it’s worth noting that the 2020 version of The Frame was (and still is) available in six sizes: 32-inch, 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch inches and 75 inches. We expect the new version to include 4K resolution, quantum dots, and a relatively high price due to the high nature of the TV design.
It may not be the TV for everyone, but The Frame has a bit of a cult following among people who won’t settle for a garden variety TV in their living room or bedroom. Perhaps its continued success will inspire more companies to approach TV design with more care and creativity.
