Samsung Galaxy is now the exclusive mobile partner of Twitch Rivals, a one-year deal that will allow companies to collaborate on exclusive Twitch events and content.
The association checks many boxes for Samsung. On the one hand, it helps to increase the range of Samsung Galaxy products and, more specifically, its set of mobile devices with 5G capacity. Second, it’s a smart move for a mobile and display device maker during a time in history. there are more people playing than ever. Taking advantage of Twitch’s network of streamers at a time when I was watching one vision explosion it certainly doesn’t hurt at all.
Twitch Rivals and Samsung will partner in various mobile challenges, promoting mobile game superstars and tournaments through a regular series called Mobile Mondays presented by Samsung that will hand out cash prizes. Viously, obviously, Samsung has managed to sweeten the pot for Galaxy and Twitch users with “additional benefits.” While it’s not clear what these benefits will mean, it’s certainly a smart way to sell some phones.
“Samsung’s industry-leading mobile gaming devices will allow players to not only stream their favorite Twitch Rivals content, but also fully engage in the unprecedented chat and interactivity that fuels the Twitch community,” he said. Lou Garate, global head of sales sponsorship for Twitch. in a statement. “As live streaming and sports continue to grow exponentially, we look forward to working with Samsung to help the dedicated, gaming-focused audience access Twitch Rivals content wherever and whenever they want.”
Samsung and Twitch begin their partnership with a live broadcast of Twitch Rivals at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday before Samsung’s big one Unpacked Galaxy Thursday. The Galaxy Unpacked event will air on the Twitch platform, you guessed it, starting at 10am ET.
