Samuel García, a Mexican senator, is a target of memes for using Photoshop to pretend he was wearing a mask El Salvador News

The official was so criticized and ridiculed on social media that he decided to remove the post, but it was too late; Internet users viralized it.

Its intention was to bring back to consciousness to the Mexican population on the importance of the use of the mouthpiece or mask; but the example he used was not entirely inappropriate.

Through his social networks, Samuel García, pre-candidate for the government of Nuevo León had the good fortune to publish a photograph, which ironically went against what he was preaching.

“We must take care of our loved ones and keep the guard up: celebrate by following all possible health and distance measures,” was the message the official wrote.

However, the image reflected just the opposite. García can be seen there in the company of his relatives. And they highlight in the light the non-compliance with two fundamental rules to fight the pandemic.

Neither Garcia nor his family are respecting social distancing; and they are not using mouthguards either. And in order to avoid criticism, the official would have placed with Photoshop mask all those who appear in the criticized image.

The curious image caught the attention of netizens who scoffed mercilessly, not only for their audacity but also for the misuse of the photo editing program.

This is not the first time that Samuel García has attracted media attention for a non-positive detail. Recently during an interview, he expressed a comment that outraged Mexicans.

“There are people with a salary of 50,000 and they live happily,” he said referring to low wages; but the vast majority subsist on a lower salary of 132.22 pesos a day. Another of the comments for which he received taunts, was when he noted that his father forced him to play golf.
