District officials say they expect more than 15,000 Pfizer vaccines by Tuesday, followed by weekly shipments.

“In our July uprising, we saw about 1,000 new cases a day. As soon as Thanksgiving was over we jumped to almost 3,000 cases a day, and it started this week. So we now see the effects of Thanksgiving holiday,” said Corwin Porter, the district’s director of health.
Doctors at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Golden say the ICU is full and that they are immersed in COVID-19 patients.
They are converting conference rooms into hospital rooms to handle more patients and have tents set up in the parking lot as a precaution.
“We’m now drowning in cov patients, we’re really up to our necks, our heads are above the water, we’m still breathing, but our biggest concern is if we can not make people better. Upcoming vacations … we can really go down,” Dr. Troy said. Pennington said.
