San Diego’s Petco Park vaccination superstar will close again starting Saturday due to the national shortage of Modern COVID-19 vaccines, a county spokesman confirmed on NBC 7.
The county spokesman said the closure would last until Tuesday.

This is the second time supply disruptions have forced a pause at one of San Diego’s largest vaccination sites. NBC 7’s Dave Summers has more.
Second-dose appointments will be rescheduled automatically, the spokesman said. Those affected by delays are encouraged to check their MyUCSDChart account or search for an email with details about the new appointment date.
Petco Park only administers Modern vaccines. No information was published on how this national shortage will affect other local vaccine sites.
This is also the second weekend that the Petco Park vaccination site ends up closing.
Extreme winter weather in some areas of the United States delayed dose delivery last week.
This also comes days after the county announced employees in schools, education and daycare; people involved in non-medical emergencies and workers in the food and agriculture sector will be able to receive vaccines from Saturday.
