Santa Clara County faces COVID-19 vaccine appointments: NBC Bay Area

The Santa Clara County Department of Public Health faces the long-awaited wave of people trying to book appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine starting April 15th.

Many neighbors have tried to book their appointment, but have encountered problems and confusion when trying to do so. They say the website does not recognize them as eligible for an appointment.

However, Santa Clara County officials say the website has been fixed and residents should no longer have issues with their eligibility.

The changes came after more complaints reached telephone lines and county websites saying no appointments were available.

As of Monday afternoon, the county continues to update the website to reflect the changes. Although requirements for those over 16 are already being addressed online, officials point out that no appointments are available for April 15 or later.

More appointments and changes are expected in the days leading up to April 15, but the health department warns that appointments will depend on the supply of vaccines.
