The end of this year, the most disruptive of our lives for all but a few, just can’t get there soon enough. And while we may not be together as we usually are on the last night of the year, we can collectively organize a farewell party waking up in 2021.
We can eat and drink as we please, and we can do it safely at home. Our list of Dallas restaurants offering New Year’s Eve night food highlights eight different options, with a list of 20 more to explore.
But before you get there, here are a couple of places that will help you start saying goodbye to 2021 a little early, in a satisfying way.
Billy Can Can

Billy Can Can’s three-course takeaway dinner, for the benefit of Youth with Faces, gives you the opportunity to echo one of the silver linings of 2021: the community support that Dallas restaurants have provided throughout of a year of daunting challenges.
Each meal for two ($ 80) comes with two cans of Slow & Low: Rock & Rye along with some delicious food. Choose a small Caesar salad or a devil’s egg snack for each person and select two main courses from the steak, seafood and vegetable pappardelle. The third course is a dessert to share: banana pudding or sticky pumpkin toffee cake.

Greenville Avenue Pizza Co.

Until the end of the year, you can eat a performance of this crazy year that manifests itself in GAPCo’s “pizza disaster”. The toppings: fried junk, pineapple, pepper, diced hard boiled egg, chili cheese, black pepper, Alfredo sauce and GAPCo mozzarella cheese mix, come together to make a surprisingly tasty cake.
Go anywhere to pick up a slice ($ 6.50) or a small ($ 17) or large ($ 20) pizza. You can also place an order online to place it.

NEW YEAR’S EVE DISTRIBUTION
Corrientes 348 Argentine steakhouse
1807 Ross Ave. (downtown)
If you want your last meal of the year to include a slice of meat, Corrientes 348 can do just fine, with rib eye, New York milk fillet, grilled salmon and more on the menu.
Open for both lunch and dinner on New Year’s Day and New Year’s Eve for a special three-course meal, the Argentine fillet shop will also ask for your takeaway menu.

Flying Saucer Draft Emporium

At Flying Saucer there are always craft beers and fun, and on New Year’s Eve you can take the party home.
The package to go ($ 35) includes a meat and cheese board that feeds two to three people, a six-pack of canned or bottled beers, and party chocolates. Upgrades to a larger package are available.

Jasper’s Uptown
4511 McKinney Ave. (Uptown)
Jasper’s Uptown is no joke when they call this holiday meal for four to six people ($ 90 or $ 120 with wine) as a party. Roast pork loin with nuts and orange glaze is accompanied by au gratin potatoes, carrots with sage and honey and spicy apples. The meal also includes homemade buttermilk and cheddar cookies and winter berry shoemaker for dessert.
There are several more sides ($ 8 each) available to add, with roasted seasonal vegetables, black-eyed peas or cabbage among the options. Heating instructions will be provided.
Place your order before 5pm on December 28 to pick them up between noon and 4pm on New Year’s Eve.
Knife
5300 E. Mockingbird Lane
Take an already stellar meal to an even higher level by combining a bottle of 2004 Bollinger’s RD Brut Champagne ($ 550) with your dinner on chef John Tesar’s knife. The Steakhouse offers its full takeaway menu and organizes a strict dinner with limited capacity for the evening.
The steaks on the menu range from a 10-ounce ($ 25) flat plate to a 32-ounce, 240-day-old Akaushi rib eye ($ 220), presumably meant to be shared. Diners have more than a dozen steak options, as well as raw and tartar starters, seafood and pasta.
Pastry chef Eric Cobb will surely also deliver some divine desserts.

Knife Burger and Knife Steakhouse in Plano will also offer takeaway or New Year’s Eve food.
Naughty moth
1621 Oak Lawn Ave. (Design District)
Make it a romantic night out with one of Meddlesome Moth’s three-course evening packages to prepare at home. Meals are served cold with cooking and heating instructions.
The “Cheers to a New Year” meal ($ 85) includes a baked brie and baguette snack, two 13-ounce tomahawk pork chops, balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts and macaroni, and truffle cheese. For dessert, there is a melted chocolate cake for two people.
The “So Long 2021” package ($ 105) includes a crunchy Brussels leaf appetizer with vintage gouda, two 13-ounce black mountain Angus rib eyes with black shallot sauce, glazed carrots and au gratin potatoes. Desserts are chocolate cream jars for two.
If you’re not looking for rates for the date of the night, choose the “Meeting Cake” ($ 75) with two dozen duck wings candied with sweet chili and buffalo sauces, blue cheese garnish and blue cheese and hummus garlic. Also included are carrots and celery, pickled cauliflower, green beans and slices of English cucumber.

Miriam Latin Cuisine

You can savor Miriam Cocina’s four-course dinner ($ 55) in the spacious restaurant, on the patio or at home when you grab the sidewalk.
Choose from crispy banana with prawns and chicken pies for an appetizer, followed by one of two salad options. Starters include blue cheese sirloin with poblano mashed potatoes, a mahi-mahi fillet in lobster cream sauce with coconut rice or a vegetarian chili filling made with impossible meat substitute and served with guajillo sauce, white rice and black beans.
For dessert, enjoy a chocolate cake with a touch of chipotle pepper served with vanilla cream or bread pudding, a Mexican bread pudding served with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.

The second floor of The Exchange

Recently opened in the AT&T Discovery District, The Second Floor at The Exchange offers a New Year’s Eve lunch at home.
The package to go ($ 495) includes sturgeon caviar with cookies and fresh cream, a 42-ounce, 16-ounce New York strip, aged dry, with bordelaise and chocolate truffles for dessert. Also included is a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Borgo Scopeto Super Tuscan, as well as chocolates for the New Year’s Eve party and a $ 50 gift card to be used at the restaurant in 2021.

Sloane’s Corner

You can ring the New Year’s Eve with a decadent and affordable meal at Sloane’s Corner. The three-course dinner hosted inside the restaurant and in the covered and heated patio is also available to take away.
The package to go ($ 98 per person) includes champagne toast and gifts, and such tempting options that you’ll have a hard time choosing. Yellow-finned tuna caviar and tartare are on the appetizer menu, with ribbed eyes and roasted halibut between starters. A golden chocolate bar with Nutella is included as a dessert and you can add an optional dish of black truffle risotto in the winter.
The restaurant will also be open for snacks on New Year’s Day and you can also order this two-course meal ($ 28 per person). Some of the options on this menu are lemon curd ricotta pancakes, smoked salmon avocado toast and a beef burger with fries.
