According to the record, Montgomery strangled pregnant Bobbie Jo STINNETT in 2004 to open her belly with a knife and kidnap her baby.
In December 2004, as part of a premeditated kidnapping and murder plan, Montgomery drove from his home in Kansas to STINNETT’s home in Missouri, allegedly to buy a puppy.

Once inside the residence, Montgomery attacked and strangled STINNETT, who was eight months pregnant, until the victim lost consciousness. Next, using a kitchen knife, Montgomery cut STINNETT’s abdomen, causing him to regain consciousness.
A fight ensued and Montgomery strangled STINNETT to death. Montgomery then pulled the baby out of STINNETT’s body, took the baby with her and tried to pass it off as her seat. Montgomery later confessed to killing STINNETT and kidnapping his son.
