The president of the Scientific Coalition of Puerto Rico, Dr. Daniel Colom Ramos, rejected that we had discussed the protocols of the Department of Education for the reopening of schools.
Using the social network Twitter, the health worker refuted the agency to indicate in the school opening protocol, which was leaked, that the recommendations of the Department of Health of Puerto Rico, Administration of Occupational Safety and Health (PR-OSHA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and the Scientific Coalition of Puerto Rico.

“The Coalition has not yet discussed reopening protocols for schools. I believe the recommendations mentioned in this presentation from the Education Department refer to general recommendations,” Columbus wrote.
Columbus was appointed by Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia to chair the Coalition last November.
Yesterday, the Coalition published its recommendations for the new executive order, requesting that it not be made more flexible, but the president did not follow the advice.
