Scout Club: MGM Springfield prepares to celebrate New Year’s Eve

A new year and a new decade are coming, and what better way to celebrate than at some of MGM Springfield’s newest clubs.

The casino complex is packed with things to do this New Year’s Eve at various locations on the downtown campus. Let’s take a look.

Just to start things off, starting at 3 p.m., customers will have a chance to win $ 2,020 every hour on the drawings on the casino floor. Then, at 7:15 and 9:45 p.m., Roar! The Comedy Club will feature Jamie Kennedy at the Armory. Roar! will also feature Vicki Barbolak and Sam Comroe at Symphony Hall at 8 p.m.

One of the great offers of that night will be at the TAP Sports Bar, where from eight o’clock in the evening there will be a “Party of Decades” with music from before to today. 80s HD starts at 8 p.m. The music of the nineties continues at 9 pm, with a DJ spinning your favorite songs from the 2000s at 10 pm and the 2010s at 11 pm.

There is a wide assortment of packages that your group can purchase at various price levels, ranging from $ 100 to $ 500. A fascinating package is the “bowling package” (maximum of eight people per lane) for $ 350. The evening includes bowling and shoes from 21:00 to 01:00, arcade access to a bottle of champagne, chocolates for the party and a free toast at midnight. (For all package and bowling reservations, call TAP Sports Bar at (413) 273-5410.)

Meanwhile, the Spazmatics will play 80s music from 9:30 to 12:30 near the Casino Bar.

MGM Springfield is certainly not the only game in the area, and while I don’t have room to miss all the bars and pubs, here are a few more:

  • Gateway City Arts, in Holyoke, will annually hold the Strange One’s Ball’s Dreamland Ball on both December 30 and New Year’s Eve. The first show will feature music from Bella’s Bartok with the opening The Suitcase Junket, while the New York show will feature Bella’s Bartok with the support of Consider the Source. Gateway City Arts is located in 92 Race St.
  • The Rendezvous at 78 Third St., in the Turners Falls section of Montague, will hold what is called the New Year’s Eve Ballerina at 9 p.m. There will be a countdown for children at 19:00.
  • Aquanett will play a New Year’s Eve party at Club One in Agawam. Club One is located at No. 60 Northwest Westfield, in the Feeding Hills section of the city.

Do you have any great events at any local club? Send me a note at least two weeks in advance to [email protected] and I will try to get it in this space.
