A highlight Named of Duty: Warzone Leaker hints that season 2 has a special surprise Modern Warfare fans or, more specifically, a special Modern Warfare 2 surprise. Coming to Twitter, ModernWarzone randomly posted a soap emoji, obvious evidence of John “Soap” MacTavish’s presence in the game. And if there was any doubt about what caused the emojis, the tweet was followed by another suggesting that the character be added for season 2 and that the cargo ship on the edge of the map may be involved in the character introduction.
Unfortunately, this is where the apparent mockery ends. And, for now, it’s important to emphasize “the apparent,” because even if it’s a Soap find, and it seems to be, the implications may not be what the obvious speculations suggest. In the past, ModernWarzone claimed that Soap would come into play as an operator and assume that this is still the plan and that the tweets shown below are causing it, but for now, that’s just an assumption.
Below you can check the tweets for yourself:
“Price: Soap, what’s your position?”
“🧼: half a click on the coast. Things are really heating up here … ”
Excited to see you return to workgroup 141, no more. #War zone pic.twitter.com/VRwmNAigUA

As noted, this is not the first time we have heard Soap arrive at the Call of Duty: War zone as an operator, but I hope this is the last time. That said, for now, take it all with a grain of salt. Not only have we been hearing this rumor for months, but more simply, none of it is official and is also subject to change.
If Soap comes into the game as an operator alongside the second season, the timing is weird. You would think this would have happened sooner Black Ops Cold War, neither then nor will it even be maintained until Infinity Ward inevitably restarts Modern Warfare 2, which he may well be doing afterwards.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available for free via PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. For more coverage, Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty 2021, and all things CDE, click here.
