SEATTLE – Seattle Seahawks are expected to move from initial defensive attack Jarran Reed through an operation or release, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Reed said his apparent goodbye to the Seahawks on Thursday, writing on Twitter:

Reed, 28, has one year and $ 8.5 million left in his contract, which will feature $ 13.5 million against the limit. The Seahawks would save $ 8.5 million against the limit by trading or releasing Reed while incurring $ 5 million dead.
The Seahawks need to clear the limit space so that they meet the limit once it has been agreed to formalize the recent offers.
