HOUSTON – It was a time of relief for George Floyd’s family on Tuesday afternoon.
The family looked from their home in Houston, where the jury found former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of all counts of murder. Screams and tears of union fell through the faces of the family as they watched television along with millions of others.
“I feel the sky is on my shoulders. My brother got justice and this is very rare and few, as many times this has happened to people of color. He didn’t deserve it, ”said Latonya Floyd, Floyd’s older brother.
