Senate has 11 positive employees in COVID-19

Since the return of Easter, eleven Puerto Rican Senate employees have tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19.

The information was confirmed to Metro Puerto Rico by the press office of the Upper House, who have indicated that they will be conducting tests on all employees tomorrow.

These cases arise after the four were reported last week, which includes Senator Rosamar Trujillo, two employees of the Sergeant of Arms and one of the Energy Commission chaired by Senator Javier Aponte Dalmau.

As indicated the additional cases came positive after the holidays ended for the well-known big week, a week and a half ago.

Tomorrow, in the Luis A. Ferrer car park, all Senate employees will be tested in this situation.

Due to the rise in VOCID-19 cases, the Government of Puerto Rico amended the Executive Order by establishing a curfew at 10 pm and the closure of businesses and establishments at 9 am, although not limited the percentage of capacity of people. In addition, the closure of schools and the return to the education system were ordered virtually, a decision criticized by a group of mothers and fathers who demonstrated last Saturday in front of La Fortalesa.

There are currently 103,957 confirmed confirmed cases of viruses in Puerto Rico, 2,162 deaths and 406 hospitalizations, of which 21 are underage and 385 are adults.
