It’s official!
Shailene Woodley confirmed Monday that she was engaged to Aaron Rodgers during an appearance on “The Tonight Show.”
“It’s not new news for us, so it’s funny that everyone is freaking out right now,” Woodley, 29, said. “We’re like, ‘Yes, we’ve been engaged for a while.’
The “Big Little Liars” star sprang up over his 37-year-old fiancé, describing him as a “wonderful, amazing human being” and had fun in his career as a Green Bay Packers quarterback.
“I never thought I would be committed to someone making a living,” he joked. “I never thought as a girl,‘ Yeah, when I grow up, I’ll marry someone who throws balls, yeah! “
“But it’s really so good it’s going well,” he added. “I’m very impressed.”
Woodley added that she and Rodgers met during the pandemic and admitted she had never been to or watched a football game.
“I don’t know him as the football guy,” he said. “I know him as the nerd who wants to host” Jeopardy! “That’s the guy I know.”
Rumors of a romance between the “Divergent” star and the NFL player did not swirl until early February, and only a few days later Rodgers revealed he was engaged.
Rodgers last dated Danica Patrick, while Woodley was previously linked to rugby player Ben Volavola.
