They say the distance makes the heart grow more, which seems to be the case with Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley.
The quarterback is gearing up for another season with the Green Bay Packers and thinks spending a good time away from the Los Angeles-based actress will be “a good thing.”
“It’s a very busy time for her [my decision] it probably came at a good time so we could both focus on our work, ”Rodgers told Haute Living in an interview published Thursday.
“I think it will be a good thing. I mean, his job was closed for a whole year [during the coronavirus pandemic], and has booked several projects. He likes to work and his own routine, which I obviously also like ”.
Their inevitable separation during the 2021 football season may explain why the 29-year-old “Big Little Lies” star and 37-year-old Rodgers are in no hurry to start planning their wedding.
“There’s no wedding planning,” Woodley told Entertainment Tonight in July. “There’s no hurry. We are in no hurry. “
The “Divergent” star added that they simply “enjoy” spending time together and committing.
The pair sparked dating rumors for the first time last summer, but the NFL star did not announce he was engaged until February and even then did not name Woodley as his fiancée.
Woodley finally confirmed on “The Tonight Show” that she was Rodgers’ mysterious future girlfriend shortly after revealing that she was leaving the market.
“For us, it’s not new news, so it’s fun for everyone to have no time for it,” he said at the time. “We’re like, ‘Yes, we’ve been engaged for a while.’
