NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal made his AWW debut Wednesday night, but was unaware when he and Jad Cargill defeated Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet in Dynamite: the crossroads.
Shaq, 48, dominated Rhodes during the first half of the match, but “The American Nightmare” took revenge with a running crossbody. The move caused the two men to leave the ring, crashing (and shattering) two tables.
Cargill finally won the mixed tag match for the two central defenders with a Glam Slam. Meanwhile, O’Neal was still being wiped out in the rubble with an AEW doctor reviewing him.
O’Neal was put on a stretcher during the commercial break and loaded into an ambulance outside the amphitheater. However, when announcer Tony Schiavone opened the doors of the vehicle, Shaq was nowhere to be found.
