Shigeru Miyamoto hosted the latest version of Nintendo Direct, which was about the Super Nintendo World park in Japan. It opened with the legendary designer jumping off a pipe. Thank you, Nintendo for this gift from the ‘Shop Contest.
Your challenge this week: Have fun with Miyamoto on a pipe!
It was originally intended to be a holiday themed contest, but then Nintendo gave me that, and I had to. And no, I didn’t plan on doing any weird tents. Keep that shit on Twitter.
And to help you all, here is a default Direct Miyamoto. Consider this Christmas present for all of you. I am very disappointed that none of you have achieved anything for me this year. Very rude.
G / O Media may receive a commission
Next week, I will pick a winner and some of my favorites.
Update: I forgot to add that I will not be here next weekend. I’m taking it out as part of a great winter getaway. This will give you extra time to work on it.
Note that the rules for sending images have changed slightly. We are now looking for images that are 800 pixels wide.
How to send – Instructions
1. Create your store and save it to your desktop. Images must be at least 800 pixels wide.
2. Go to the bottom of this post
3. This opens a comments window. Click “Choose a file” if you’re uploading your store from your desktop
4. Alternatively, you can upload the store to a free image hosting service. I suggest imgur. Then paste the URL of the image into the field that says “Image URL.” Note: This must be the URL of the image itself, not the page where it is displayed. This means that the URL ends in .jpg, .gif, .png, whatever.
5. Add editorial comments and press Submit and your image will be uploaded. If not, upload the image to imgur and paste the image URL as a comment. I’ll look at it.
6. Large images may not load properly, although we have seen some animated .gifs larger than 5 MB. If you’re still having trouble uploading the image, try keeping its longest dimension (horizontal or vertical) below 1000 pixels or therefore below 2 MB.
