European Super League: Should the players of the “big six” face international ban? Should CL clubs be exiled?
According to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, the European Super League’s proposal is a “shameful and self-service” plan and a “spit on football fans”.
The 53-year-old also said players representing teams involved would be “banned from the World Cup and the Euro”. The governing body also indicated on Sunday that players would be excluded from all other competitions at national, European or global level.
Of course, the impact on the England team for this summer’s tournament would be huge without players from Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea. And the implications of the Champions League would also be huge.
But what do you think? If that happens, is it right for them to suffer from a general club decision? Or do dramatic circumstances demand dramatic action? And what about the clubs themselves? Should clubs be expelled from the Champions League and Europa League?
