Side effects of COVID-19 vaccine cause Advocate Condell Medical Center to temporarily pause vaccines

LIBERTYVILLE, Illinois – Libertyville’s Condell Medical Center Advocate is pausing COVID-19 vaccines after some health workers reported reactions to the shootings.

Four employees experienced adverse reactions, including tingling and high heart rate, shortly after vaccination, according to a statement from attorney Aurora Health.

Three of the workers are doing well at home and a fourth is receiving additional treatment.

While the reactions are an expected side effect, Advocate said the break will give them time to better understand what the reactions may have caused.

According to the statement, vaccinations at all other Advocate Aurora Health locations in Illinois and Wisconsin continue without delay.
