SLO County adds 259 new COVID-19 cases in three days

San Luis Obispo County added 259 new COVID-19 cases in three days, bringing the county’s total to 7,711 confirmed cases as of Dec. 14.

Ninety-seven new cases were added on Saturday, 80 on Sunday and 82 on Monday.

Twenty-nine people have been admitted to the hospital, including eight patients in the ICU. A further 1,303 are recovering at home and 6,325 have recovered, health officials said.

There are 46 deaths due to COVID-19 in San Luis Obispo County.

  • California Men’s Colony (Prisoners) – 414
  • Grover Beach – 283
  • Call Polly (Campus Residents) – 256
  • San Miguel – 246
  • Templeton – 245
  • Oceano – 235
  • Los Ozos – 136
  • Morrow Bay – 131
  • Bismuth Beach – 119
  • Shandon – 73
  • Santa Margarita – 57
  • Cambria – 52
  • Creston – 38
  • Causos – 28
  • Atacadero State Hospital (Patients) – 25
  • Avila Beach – 13
  • San Simeon – 7

The location of 19 additional cases is under investigation, and 10 cases are listed as “other”, with less than five cases involving communities. The Department of Public Health has not identified those locations.

Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Moro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.
