Snow arrives Monday night, New Year’s Eve morning

Monday night is snowy and slippery, especially overnight. New Year’s Eve finally becomes more manageable, but it’s still pretty cold. The sun comes on New Year’s Day and the highest temperatures return the next day.

Clouds returns Monday night as it gets colder. Night lows will be mid and higher in the 1920s. The moisture envelope of a system of marking storms and winds escaping into Lake Michigan result in snowfall. The snow will spread before midnight and then be heavier and early in the morning.

Tuesday morning will be cold and snowy. Motorists can expect a slow commute in the morning as the streets and roads become slippery and slippery. Take special care on untreated roads and sidewalks. The snow disperses more, on Tuesday afternoon. There is probably a half inch to 1 inch of snow south of 8 Mile Road, including Detroit. It can make 1 to 2 inches of snow north of 8 Mile Road. The highs will be in the mid and upper 30s.

On New Year’s Eve, Tuesday night, the snow comes out and it gets colder. The weather will be about to freeze at midnight when we say hello to 2021.

Happy New Year, Wednesday! New Year’s Day will be partly sunny and cold. Highs will be close to 40 degrees; 5 to 10 degrees above average.

Thursday, the second day of 2021, will have low temperatures of the 40s with a little more sun.
