SUNBURY, The Netherlands. – Weis Markets announced Thursday that it will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines to 55 of its pharmacies in Pennsylvania.
Weis pharmacy staff will prioritize people 65 and older for COVID-19 vaccines. Weis pharmacies will also prioritize COVID-19 vaccinations for people ages 16 to 64 with high-risk conditions such as cancer, chronic kidney disease, smoking, COPD, heart disease, Down syndrome, obesity, and diabetes.
To receive the vaccine, clients must schedule an appointment with a Weis-certified immunizer on the company’s website.
Appointment registrations are available one day before vaccination and a face covering is required. To ensure the effectiveness of the vaccine, Weis pharmacies will schedule clients for a second vaccination four weeks after their first vaccination.
