Sources: Warriors rookie James Wiseman has a torn meniscus in his right knee and may miss the rest of the season

James Wiseman, Golden State Warriors rookie center, suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee and could miss the rest of the season, sources told ESPN.

Wiseman, the No. 2 general pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, underwent the picture Sunday for an injury he suffered Saturday night. Doctors are expected to continue consultation with an action plan on the injury and a return schedule, sources told ESPN.

Wiseman, 20, suffered the injury in the second quarter of Saturday’s win over Houston when he rose for a dive and landed uncomfortably after Rockets striker Kenyon Martin Jr. blocked him.

Wiseman averages 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in 21 minutes per game this season. He missed three weeks in February with a wrist injury.
