Spanish police have discovered the first workshop with a 3D printer to make illegal firearms in the country
MADRID – Spanish police said Sunday they discovered the first workshop with a 3D printer to make illegal firearms in the country.
Police said one person was arrested in Tenerife, Canary Islands, after being linked to the clandestine workshop where the suspect allegedly made assault weapons from 3D printing.
Alongside the printer, officers also confiscated the components of 19 weapons made with 3D printing, various knives, chemicals that could be used to make explosives and “objects with white supremacist symbols.”
The joint operation was carried out by the National Police and the Spanish Treasury.
