Special artistic applause for Albert Rodríguez | stage

The surprising death of the actor and director Albert Rodríguez, served to file rough edges of the past between televisions and so his talents could unite to celebrate the life and legacy of his partner, in El Remix, Wapa.

The actor of cinema, theater and television, was key with his personages in the mentioned program of Wapa TV, produced by Emmanuel “Sunshine” Logroño, with that Rodriguez worked by more than 25 years in the mentioned one channel.

The Remix will occupy its 10:00 pm schedule today to honor Rodriguez. It started with the comedy Before and After, from the marriage characterized by Albert and Marian Pabón. Followed by a loud applause. Then they continued to intersperse key sketches with the anecdotes of those present with the finite artist.

“We’re going to do a different remix, we’re going to celebrate the life of our brother Albert,” Logroño said.

The production was attended by almost thirty of his colleagues, including past talents from Logroño productions such as René Monclova and Jorge Castro, who now work on Raymond and his friends, Telemundo. Also present were Suzette Baco and Cristina Soler.

Also present were Deddie Romero and his daughter Didi, Maricarmen Avilés, Alfonso Alemany, Tita Guerrero, Fernando Arévalo, Jesús Muñoz, Angelique Burgos, Janibeth Santiago and Yaiza Figueroa, among others. Apart from the current cast of the Remix: Kiko Núñez, Francis Roses, Fernand Miranda, Barry Roses, Wanda Sais, Luis Galán, Luis Ponce and Mara Vélez. The latter two recommended by Rodriguez.

“He was terrible, I think the devil lived in him. Albert was a unique and very special person, we traveled a lot (with Jorge) and I have a thousand anecdotes,” Baco said unleashing laughter from everyone in the set.

“We can be up all night telling anecdotes about Albert, we missed him a lot. We’ll never forget him, he’s always going to be with us,” Logroño said.

Rodriguez died at age 58, on March 15 of natural causes, at his residence in Bayamón. By the protocols of the covid-19 his vigil will be private tomorrow at the Teatro Braulio Castell, in Bayamón; will continue on Friday at the Jalvin Funeral Home in Añasco and will be buried Saturday next to his parents in the village cemetery.
