Capacity just under 20,000; 10,000 seats will be “thank you” seats for front-line staff
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Attendance at Ohio State University 2021 LiFESports Spring Game presented by Buckeyes Care, scheduled for noon on Saturday, April 17 at Ohio Stadium, will have a limit of 19,180. On Monday there will be a general public sale for various constituent groups, including students and the general public.
Capacity was determined with Columbus Public Health guidelines and with respect to new health orders announced by Gov. Mike DeWine this week. Capacity was established based on the mapping of the seats and the still current pattern of six feet of distance between the pods.
“On behalf of the university and the Department of Athletics, I would like to sincerely thank Governor DeWine, Dr. Mysheika Roberts and Columbus Public Health, and Mayor Ginther and the City of Columbus for their collective leadership throughout this pandemic, ”said Gene Smith, said senior vice president and athletics director of the Wolfe Foundation. “We are not yet going through this health crisis, but the collaboration between all these entities has allowed us to return the fans safely to our premises and, in particular, to the Ohio Stadium next week for the spring game.”
Gratitude seats
Approximately 10,000 places will be given to Wexner Medical Center and selected entities on campus whose staff has been cared for and administered to other people for more than a year working and serving on the front lines of this pandemic.
The department anticipates approximately 4,500 tickets, priced at $ 5 per ticket, which will be available to the general public. An additional 2,500 tickets will be reserved in the southern bleachers for Ohio State students at no cost. The rest of the seats will be held for the families of the football players and the technical staff, with the rest of the tickets for these groups in the general public pool.

Tickets for the spring game will go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. Monday online at ticketmaster.com. Season ticket holders will receive email information on Friday about access to the presale.
