Stadia will receive ‘more than 100 games’ this year

FIFA 21, Judgment, and a series of sympathetic platforms en route

Google assures owners that despite its somewhat rocky start, Stadia still has the company’s full support, with “more than 100 games” planned to reach cloud gaming service by 2021.

“We are delighted to continue to bring fantastic games from some of the best developers so that our players can experience them in the Stadia store,” reads an official post from the Stadia forum. “Over the next few weeks and months, players can expect to see everything from action-packed RPGs to competitive co-op titles and agile platforms […] These games represent just a sample of the more than 100 games that will be added to the Stadia store for our players in 2021 to share, experience and play with friends. “

Among the titles lined up for Stadia’s immediate future are Electronic Arts’ FIFA 21 (March 17), the fighting detective of the Yakuza team Judges (April 23) and Cradle Games sci-fi RPG Hellpoint. Also listed are a number of cartoon platform titles, including WayForward Shantae releases Heroes and geniuses i Risky’s revenge, The fun look of PixelHive Kaze and the wild masks, and LiquidBit’s competitive multiplayer title Killer Queen Black.

The post follows Stadia’s recent announcement that it was already closing its in-house game development studios, just over a year after the service’s launch. In the future, Stadia intends to focus on delivering new and old third-party software to its user community, releasing more games each passing month.

I guess there’s life in the old … barren … new dog still.
