With the split-screen co-op, a new island to explore and loading more content, this is the “biggest update to date”
After its PC debut in December, Stardew Valley has today released the substantial 1.5 content update on consoles. If you’re a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One player, today is the day. It’s huge.
The Stardew Valley 1.5 update for Switch, Xbox and PlayStation has come out and should be available on all platforms over the next few hours.

Update 1.5 includes a lot of new stuff like Willy’s ship that you can repair and drive to Ginger Island, another dungeon hard to face with new enemies, a new NPC to befriend, the new of gold to collect, the design of the “beach farm”, a lot of new items and machines like the Geode crusher, more fish to catch, extra furniture, character events, the ability to move the bed and ducks.
For console gamers in particular, local split-screen multiplayer is such an important feature. Tell him to starve.
There are simply too many additions to justify everyone being baffled here (check out the patch notes full of lowercase when you’re ready), so these are the highlights. It didn’t take long to wait compared to the PC update time, but I won’t lie: I’ve been upset by the split screen co-op. My weekend plans are done.
