State creates a map to help patients find a provider of COVID-19 vaccines

HOUSTON – The momentum to get the COVID-19 vaccine is now advancing, so the next challenge is to find a provider, a hospital or a medical clinic or even a pharmacy to give you the vaccine.

To help us all, the Texas Department of Health Services has created an interactive map that makes it easy to find a provider in your neighborhood.

To use it, just start clicking on the map of the Houston area.

The map will get closer and closer to the metro area with each click.

When you get close enough to see the different cities and suburban areas, hover your cursor over the part of the city and click on one of the points in your area.

A provider location appears, along with the phone number to call to book an appointment, the provider’s address, and the type of provider you are looking for, pharmacy, doctor’s office, medical clinic, or hospital.

The website even tells you how many doses of the vaccine have been given by that particular provider.

Now that you know where to go, it’s important to call this location first before you enter.

You will need to schedule an appointment through the provider, you will not be able to come in and get a vaccine.
