ALBANY, NY – An Orange County health state is accused by New York State of having “fraudulently” obtained the COVID-19 vaccine, health officials reported Saturday.
The Parcare Community Health Network may have obtained the vaccine and diverted it to members of the public violation of state guidelines, who want to reach health workers first, state health commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker in a statement.
“The State Department of Health has been informed of reports that Parcare Community Health Network, an Orange County provider, may have fraudulently obtained the COVID-19 vaccine, transferred it to other facilities parts of the state in violation of state guidelines and diverted it to members of the public, contrary to the state’s plan to administer it first to front-line health workers, as well as to nursing home residents and to the staff, ”Zucker said. “We take it very seriously and DOH will assist the state police in a criminal investigation into this matter. Anyone who has knowingly participated in this scheme will be held liable to the fullest extent of the law.”
Parcare’s website describes itself as “a multi-specialty center that offers services such as primary care, internal medicine, dermatology, physiotherapy and pediatrics; they help our patients maintain optimal health and prevent possible diseases. “.
Parking operates facilities in Borough Park, Bensonhurst, Williamsburg, East Harlem, Monroe and Bed-Stuy / Crown Heights.
BoroPark24 reported that ParCare received 3,500 doses of the Modern vaccine on December 21st. The company’s CEO, Gary Schlesinger, retweeted photos of his vaccine on December 22nd.
“You have to be on this list,” Schlesinger said, after referring to the registration lists that ParCare has online. “Once you’re on the list, we need to do a veterinarian to make sure you’re a health worker, you’re over 60, or you have underlying conditions.
