The CDC data tracker collects data from health centers and public health authorities. It is updated daily to report the total number of people in each state who have been completely vaccinated against COVID-19.
By 6 a.m. EDT on April 1, a total of 56,089,614 Americans had been completely vaccinated, or 16.9 percent of the country’s population.
