San Francisco Supervisor Matt Hahne tweeted, “This is a change.”

Strict COVID-19 restrictions, which began on December 6, first advised all residents not to be with anyone outside their home.
Honey Tweeted in a thread “The original order is obviously ridiculous, unreliable, serious, so people will not understand or follow it. The new version is even more restrictive emo. Public health orders must be linked to reality or they will be increasingly ignored altogether.”
The other five Bay Area districts in the early shelter line did not receive the same renewal.

In San Mateo County, authorities decided not to follow any more stringent rules. One reason is that they thought the lack of any social support system outside the home would be “harmful,” San Mateo deputy health officer Dr Curtis Chan told ABC7 News last week.
“We also send messages to tell you that you should have no contact with any community support organization, you know, anyone outside the home who has that kind of news that we thought was really harmful for our community,” Chan said.

San Francisco’s current shelter order is set to expire Jan. 4, 2021, as new lawsuits escalate and ICU capacity declines. San Francisco Health Director Dr. Grant Colefax warned on Wednesday that San Francisco would be out of ICU beds by December 27th.
“To be blunt, we have a chance to reverse this radical uprising. That opportunity is there right now. But our window is closing fast and closing,” Colbox said. “San Francisco, we will seize this moment, we will seize that day and turn this virus around. As you know, we are in the midst of a massive uprising in the COVID-19 cases in San Francisco. The worst uprising to date. And I want to emphasize the significant impact it will have on families and future generations. “
