Staying warm on Monday, the storms are looming

DETROIT – Good Monday morning!

This morning we have a warm start with temperatures between the 50s and 60s above Metro Detroit. It is also a bit toxic, and some showers try to move through the state from west to east: these showers are clearer. Still, a few showers early in the morning and isolated rain are possible as you leave home.

It is possible that the clouds will prevent our times from becoming vaporous, but it will be warm.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, with highs in the mid-70s for those inland or away from the Great Lakes, and a little cooler near those lakes. Most of the day we could see parts of Metro Detroit in the 60s to 70s, most of the day, with mostly cloudy skies and winds moving the ENE to ESE at 5-10 mph.

Today, therefore, we have been placed in a category of “marginal risk” for severe weather we will be waiting for some storms to appear in the warmer part of the day later this afternoon. It is a weak risk. Storms will be stronger in Wisconsin and Minnesota later. We will keep an eye on you and keep you up to date.

More chances of a storm

Tuesday has a much better chance of bad weather.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed Metro Detroit in a “light risk” category for severe weather Tuesday afternoon and / or evening. It will be a very warm and unstable day on Tuesday, with maximums moving in the mid-80s under a partly cloudy or partly sunny sky.

There will be a fresh front at the last hour of the day, storms that cause showers, deadly lightning and dangerous gusts of wind. Eyes to the heavens!

Wednesday can start a little stormy, at least overnight. These chances of showers will fade until morning and Wednesday afternoon, as highs only hang in the mid-70s and are a little less toxic. The skies should be partly sunny on Wednesday afternoon, and then the sun will hold for a while until next weekend.

True, from Thursday to Sunday it will be mostly sunny and will warm up again until the 80s. Summer is hanging!
