Speaking to NFL network information @RapSheet says that the #Aceres have been in touch with JuJu Smith-Schuster’s team. The team wants him back, but JuJu will be able to see what’s in the FA first. #Aceres

According to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, the Pittsburgh Steelers want receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to receive a wide receiver and have been in touch with his team about a new contract.
This situation seems like a case where the Steelers office will give Smith-Schuster a contract number, let him go out to prove his free agency value, and be able to sign elsewhere or Pittsburgh will receive him with open arms.
However, it will be interesting to see if Smith-Schuster gets a fair deal from the Steelers if he even bothers to look elsewhere. He has made it clear this offseason that he wants to be in Pittsburgh, so this could be a rare occasion, with loyalty and a strange salary cap situation converging on good luck for Pittsburgh.
