Stephen Thompson wants to get him back with Jorge Masvidal after winning the main event at UFC Fight Night 183.
Thompson (16-4-1 MMA, 11-4-1 UFC) defeated Geoff Neal (13-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) in a unanimous and wrong decision in Saturday’s welterweight title in the UFC Apex of Las Vegas. “Wonderboy” accepted a fight against a solid ascendant looking to move up the rankings, and now wants him to be able to fight.
In his mind, it would be logical to take revenge on Masvidal, whom he defeated by unanimous decision at UFC 217 in November 2017.

While the initial fight against Thompson and Masvidal wasn’t long ago, “Gamebred” wasn’t the same high-impact player it is today in the MMA space. The Masvidal star has exploded in less than two years and in July lost the title to defending champion Kamaru Usman against UFC 251.
Thompson said he realizes that his speech may not materialize because signs indicate that Masvidal will have his resentment with Colby Covington in 2021. However, Thompson hopes his speech may bring about change.
