WWE Hall of Fame star Steve Austin recently spoke with FOX Sports’ Ryan Satin and confirmed that his career in the ring is over, as he has no desire to fight again.
Stone Cold hasn’t fought since he retired in 2003 and now Austin says he doesn’t want to do anything else in the ring. He made the comments when asked if he likes his “Broken Skull Sessions” show appearing on the WWE network as a way to keep him connected to the current list.
“Man, 100 percent,” Austin said. “Because, you know, I’m still the biggest fan of the business I had when I was seven years old changing channels and I stumbled upon it; and then I had a chance to learn it and have a pretty good career. So “I don’t want to do anything else in the ring. I’m done. I’ve retired. Everyone knows that.”
“I don’t need to go out there and drop anyone on a pile of dimes and give them stunning. Once a year, once every two years, whatever. So yes. That connection makes sense. I open the way I did and I had the career I had, but I still see all these people who have come to the show.Therefore, the fact that I can have some kind of hand in the wrestling business and the finger on the pulse, yes, this is the relationship I want and love. “
During the interview, Austin was asked about his views on WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his heel turn, and the work he has been doing with Paul Heyman.
“I like it because it looks like Paul is helping him anchor it. [Roman]It’s always been really good. You can take your ass off, “Austin said.” They had to turn their heel far back in the day.
