Chris Sununu, New Hampshire governor Sununu hospitalized with Hochul flu symptoms makes New York the 31st state to have a female governor. Sununu’s chief of staff, Jayne Millerick, issued a statement “Governor Sununu has been admitted to Portsmouth Hospital this afternoon for further tests,” the Associated Press reported.

Hospital admission was “a precautionary measure to determine the cause of the flu symptoms he has experienced this week,” the staff member continued.
The governor’s symptoms are similar to those of the coronavirus, but he has done three COVID-19 tests and all have been negative.
“I woke up with COVID-like symptoms and very carefully did two rapid antigen tests, which turned negative, and then I did a PCR test, which confirmed the negative,” Sununu said on Wednesday, according to the AP.
“I will rest and hope to return to the state house soon,” he added.
The 46-year-old governor is completely vaccinated against the virus.
Sununu has been isolating himself for the past few days and has postponed meetings due to illness.
