“Super” application to provide all vehicle related services News from India

NEW DELHI: You won’t soon need to visit different websites of state transportation departments or download various mobile apps to get services related to vehicle ownership and driver’s license. The government is preparing to launch a “Super” app, which will provide a “single” solution to all these needs in all states, and vehicle owners will only have to log in once to have all the facilities.
The National Computer Center (NIC) is developing the “Super” app.
Services that users can use through this app include paying taxes, duplicate RC / fitness / leave, transfer of ownership, change of address, mortgage and issuance of NOC.

Similarly, driver-related services that can be used will include the online learner’s license, the new driver’s license and renewal, the duplicate license, the change of address, and the international driver’s license. Users will also be able to make the online retirement payment and also verify the payment.
NIC CEO Neeta Verma told TOI that the goal of the new app is to provide all vehicle-related solutions through this platform. “This will require a single registration. We will have provisions in place to generate alerts for users to update on document renewals and payments due. The application will be available in different languages. For starters, we will have it in English and Hindi, ”he said.
An official from the road transport ministry said the ministry has given its approval to this service. TOI has learned that the application will also have provisions for storing all documents related to the vehicle and the driver. A legal provision will be made to treat all such documents stored as valid by the control bodies.
