The half-time Super Bowl show was hosted by The Weeknd, As he is known to this Canadian singer, songwriter and producer, who made viewers vibrate at Raymond James Stadium, already millions of viewers around the world.
Within minutes, the stage was ready, it was located on one side of the stadium in Tampa, Florida, and not in the middle of the track as usual. The Weeknd – the stage name of Abel Makkonen Tesfaye – appeared in a red car, with an enormous scenography in the back, that evoked cities like Las Vegas or New York.

The artist performed his best hits, such as ‘Starboy’, ‘Can’t Feel My Face’, ‘Blinding Lights’, among others.
There was no audience on the track as is often the case at these shows, the pandemic forced them to rethink the logistics and attendance of fans at the venue. In return, the light and choreography show took place on the playing field
Days earlier it was speculated that The Weeknd would share his presentation with stars such as the Spanish Rosalia, the legendary duet Daft Punk or pop queen Ariana Gran. However, he himself in an interview on the eve of the show confirmed that he would be alone.
A year ago, Colombian Shakira stole the half-time show from Jennifer Lopez’s band. The artists dazzled with their choreographies and performances in which they were accompanied by J Balvin and Bad Bunny.
The Weeknd, A Canadian singer and producer of African descent, has become the biggest promise of high pop and full of soul and electronica. The artist was in Colombia at the 2017 Picnic Stereo Festival, when he was already dominating the charts and proving that he was an efficient craftsman of new rhythms and fusions.
