“Susa” gets tough on “Epifanio” in a new comic-musical show

Comedians Víctor Alicea and Carmen Nydia Velázquez have been able to witness not only the reception of their famous characters from “Epiphany” and “Susa” among Puerto Ricans on the Island, but also among those who make up the diaspora in the United States.

They have been able to experience it with the success of their past performances in cities such as Orlando, Miami and Philadelphia, as well as in the state of Texas. During this pandemic, they have also been able to identify the large number of absent boricuas that connect to the transmissions they make regularly through the Facebook page @susayepifanio.

In gratitude for this support and taking advantage of the opportunity allowed by virtual transmissions to reach different parts of the world, this pair of artists will present the comic-musical show “I send you the pin” this Saturday, May 19 December, at 8:00 p.m.

The conflict that will surely cause the risks of the audience, will begin when “Susa” puts in check “El Viejo Dañao ‘” and the announcer who is leaving for the state of Florida take an opportunity that would take it of the confinement to which it has been forced due to the COVID-19.

He, for his part, is afraid of planes, either he is infected with the coronavirus, or she is infected, much less who to lose, so he will look for all possible excuses to avoid the trip.

“This Christmas, we are locked up so they can enjoy as a family, at home, with their mincer, their beer, their soft drink, while enjoying the comedy-musical show,” said Alicea, who along with her partner will address the theme of the pandemic, local politics and the effects left by the earthquakes of the beginning of the year, among others.

“The good thing about all this is that if we touch, for example, the issue of the pandemic, what happens here, also happens in New York, in Chicago, because it is universal at the moment,” added the comedian.

The presentation will be complemented by a series of visuals that will be interspersed with what happens to the characters.

Tickets for this show are on sale through the eventbrite.es portal, under the title “Te manando el pin”. The broadcast will be from the YouTube channel of the firm De la Vega Events.
