Switch players are supposedly finding all sorts of problems in Sonic Colors Ultimate

Nintendo Switch owners who bought the “Digital Deluxe” version of Nintendo Switch Sonic Colors Ultimate they are supposed to come across all sorts of launch errors, with some even warning of possible confiscation risks.

Since fans got the Switch version earlier this week, social media has been flooded with complaints about this particular version. As VGC explains, players have highlighted “serious images,” characters falling through landscapes, soft locks, and locks. They have even been compared Sonic ’06. Charging times are also significantly longer.

Perhaps most troubling are the warnings about screens causing convulsions, which seem quite similar to what we saw earlier in Square Enix Balance Wonderworld. Sega has released a one-day release for Ultimate, but it’s still unclear if it solves any of the issues that have apparently been encountered with gamers in the Nintendo version.

It is worth noting how some of these loads are shown images of the game running on emulators and hacked Switch, while other images are believed to be captured directly from the retail version. Some of the original images that appeared were called:

We didn’t find any of these graphics bugs or bugs during our time with Sonic Colors Ultimate on Switch.

Eurogamer reveals how Sega originally called Blind Squirrel Games to develop the Sonic Colors remaster, and more recently, the developer has been on fire for failing to accredit the free open source Godot engine. He responded quickly, acknowledging his mistake, and promised to correct the problem in a forthcoming patch:

Switch fans have already expressed disappointment with Nintendo’s version of Sonic Colors Ultimate in July, when it was discovered that the game had been limited to 30 FPS. The full release of this remaster will take place next week on September 7th.
