Syracuse, New York – The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team will host the Northeast on Wednesday, according to the stadium’s Jeff Goodman.
Syracuse coach Jim Boheim said he hopes to add a game this week after the Orange win over Boston College on Saturday.
The Northeast are 0-1 this season after several games were canceled due to Kovit. The Huskies’ only game was 94-49 against Massachusetts on Friday.
Northeast is scheduled to play Bryant on Wednesday. However, the Northeast Conference; Bryant is a member of it, playing conference games only.
Bryant now hosts Wagner on Wednesdays and Thursdays, meaning Northeast Wednesday looks to be looking for a new enemy.
Syracuse (4-1) lost several non-conference games from its original schedule, pushing back the start of the NCAA season and reducing the number of games.
Teams can play 25 or 27 games, depending on whether they participate in a multi-team event. Syracuse had an MTE affiliation with Pingamton and Niagara, but Pingamton’s basketball program was suspended.
Orange currently has 26 games on its table.
This week is the best window for Syracuse to add a game. Orange Open Week until buffalo delivery next Saturday.
