CBS’s daytime talk show, The Talk, returns to the screens on Monday after a month-long hiatus after Sharon Osbourne left the show amid controversy.
Osbourne’s departure came after a heated exchange between her and co-host Sheryl Underwood over a debate that saw her push her friend’s and Britain’s Piers Morgan’s defense over allegations of racism.
Monday’s program with Sheryl Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth will resume with a discussion about race and healing.

Sharon Osbourne left The Talk after defending Meghan Markle’s criticism of her friend Piers Morgan. He demanded that his black co-host, Sheryl Underwood, explain his claim that Morgan’s criticism was racist.

In The Talk, Osbourne defended Morgan in an air debate with co-host Sheryl Underwood, which ignited when Osbourne demanded “educate me” about how Morgan is racist.
An expert on how to hold difficult conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion and justice offers advice to the group along with experts on how to heal after a difficult conversation.
The advice comes too late for Osbourne, who was forced to leave the program after the aftermath of March 10, after which the program was stopped.
CBS said Osbourne had decided to leave the show after a review that found in part that “Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not fit our values for a respectful workplace “.
The network said in its internal investigation the show’s teams, including Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, were not adequately prepared for a discussion about the race. But it was said no evidence was found to support Osbourne’s claim that CBS ordered him to confront him for his support of Morgan.

Morgan, who is a friend of Osbourne, left Good Morning Britain after saying he did not believe Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, when she said in an interview that she had considered suicide when she was unhappy with her family life. British royal.
During the discussion about Morgan, Underwood asked Osbourne, “What would you say to people who might feel that while you’re with your friend, you seem to have given validation or refuge to something he has said is racist? and all if you don’t agree? ‘
Osbourne responded angrily, using words that were spread, and said he felt they put her in the “electric chair” to have a friend that some people think is racist.
“Do I feel very close to getting into the electric chair because I have a friend, who a lot of people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist?” she said.
Underwood, who is black, stepped back and accused Osbourne of downplaying Morgan’s comments.
“Educate me, tell me when you’ve heard him say racist things,” Osbourne said.

The Talk has been on hiatus for a month after the heated debate on the air, but Osbourne was essentially forced to leave the show
After a commercial break, the discussion continued with Osbourne telling Underwood at one point, “Don’t try to cry. If anyone should cry, it will be me.”
Osbourne later apologized for his “panic” defense of Morgan.
CBS said it had conducted workshops and training “on equity, inclusion and cultural awareness for hosts, producers and crew.”
“We recognize that network and studio teams, as well as showrunners, are responsible for what happened during this broadcast, as it was clear that the co-hosts were not adequately prepared by the staff for a complex and sensitive discussion related to the race, ”he declared revealed.
“During this hiatus, we are coordinating workshops, listening sessions and training on equity, inclusion and cultural awareness for hosts, producers and crew. In the future, we are identifying plans to improve production staff and produce procedures to better serve hosts. , the production and, ultimately, our viewers, ”CBS said.

Earlier this week, Piers Morgan praised Osbourne for defending her right to an opinion even at the expense of her job, accusing CBS of hypocrisy for forcing her to appear on The Talk.

“When it really mattered, when the tokens had fallen for me, she was there, she was a faithful friend. And my God has paid for that loyalty,” Morgan said of Osbourne (with him upstairs).
After The Talk continued, allegations arose that Osbourne had made racist comments or, in any other way, cumbersome about co-hosts behind the scenes of the show.
Former co-stars Julie Chen and Leah Rimini came out publicly to complain that Osbourne once referred to Chen as “a wonton” and to Rimini as a “ghetto.”
A report by Yashar Ali also alleged that Osbourne called former co-host Sara Gilbert a “fish eater,” among other things; Gilbert is a lesbian.

CBS extended The Talk’s hiatus one more week after Osbourne was accused of frequently calling ex-girlfriend Julie Chen “wonton” and “tilted eyes.”
Osbourne furiously denied the allegations in an interview with DailyMail.com, calling the allegations “all c ** p.”
“In situations like this, you’ll always get people you’ve had disagreements with in the past, people who have axes to grind, who come out of the wood and come out with their BS and that’s it. I’m not surprised at all. It doesn’t surprise me.” , he said.
“Of course it’s a lot.” People want to add fuel to the fire and it comes with the territory and it’s okay, ”Osbourne said.
He added: “It’s no joke to be accused of racism. Now they get their sweet revenge. I can’t even address it because they’re kids in the school yard.
“Going out with stupid, childish comments: is that really? Is that all you have?
Asked if she had ever called Chen to wonton, she added, “It’s all c ** p. It’s all c ** p. I don’t want to go with her. She lives off the people who go out. So it’s like if we came.
“It has no real basis. The accusations of telling a Chinese lady that it’s not usual, is like: is that all you have? Is that really?
Osbourne gained fame on television with the 2002-2005 reality show The Osbournes, which she produced and starred alongside her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, a heavy metal rock star and two of her three children.
