Taylor Swift did not name a song after the daughter of her good friend Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik.
Fans had been convinced that Taylor, 31, had revealed the secret with a series of tracks on her Evermore album, but it turns out they are just lyrics.
Sources connected to Gigi told TMZ: “No. Gigi and Zayn’s girl is not called Dorothea, which is a song from Taylor’s new album, Evermore.

“That was the famous fan theory turned into a rumor over the weekend, but they tell us the fifties connect points that aren’t there.”
The fan theory came up largely because Gigi recently shared some photos of her pregnancy and mentioned the word “August” in the title.
August is the eighth track from Taylor’s penultimate Folklore album and fans noted that Evermore’s eighth track is Dorothea.

Sources also told TMZ that Gigi wrote August simply because it was the month the photos were taken and she will not reveal her daughter’s name.
Others thought the song was about Selena Gomez and many cited that The Wizard of Oz is her favorite movie where Dorothy is called the heroine, as well as lyrics about a girl who moved to Hollywood and he had “brilliant friends.”
However, most people deduced from a wide range of information that Dorothea could be the name of Hadid’s baby, who has been secretly surrounded.
Swift checked the names of Lively’s two children, Inez and James, on her track Betty, which later turned out to be her son’s name, and fans thought it was entirely possible she would do the same with Gigi.
Fall Tips: After the release of Evermore fans, they re-post a line in Hadid’s message on November 30, where he mentioned August, which was the eighth track of Folklore.

To add fuel to the fire, Swift provided information about a Youtube chat before the album was released, where he said:
“There is no direct continuation of the story of betty / james / august, but in my mind Dorothea went to the same school as Betty James and Inez,” as she mentioned by name to Lively’s children.
In the end, he joked, “You’ll meet her soon,” which made fans of the eagle eyes believe he was referring to baby “Zigi.”
