TUCSON, Arizona. – Tedy Bruschi returns to Arizona football.
The school announced Monday that Bruschi will serve as senior advisor to new coach Jedd Fisch.
Bruschi was a two-game consensus game between the United States and the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year during his four-year stint in Tucson from 1992 to 1995. He played 13 NFL seasons with the New England Patriots. winning three Super Bowls before retiring in 2009.
Bruschi has been a senior analyst at ESPN since his retirement.
His duties in Arizona will include serving on the executive football management team and as a football staff consultant. He will also help Fisch with alumni relations, fundraising, social justice initiatives, and off-campus student-athlete development.
Fisch was hired last month to replace Kevin Sumlin.
