Teenagers charged with murdering Uber driver in attempted ‘carjacking’ in Washington

Two Washington DC teenagers were arrested on murder charges after a carjacking attempt in which they took the life of an Uber driver.

According to Fox 13, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon near National Parks in southeast DC

The victim was identified as 66-year-old Mhammad Anwar, who was attacked with a taser gun while trying to steal his car, which also ended in a crash.

The media claimed that nearby sources testified that Anwar had been dragged by the vehicle during the incident.

The 13- and 15-year-olds are the only suspects in the crime and are already in custody on charges of murder and armed robbery.

Fox 13 reported that Anwar was a driver for Uber Eats and was in the process of making a delivery when the incident occurred.
