In one of these raids, a 21-year-old girl was taken captive. It was closed in the middle of the night. Single, she was identified by the Taliban to marry one of the commanders.
“After the marriage, the young woman was taken away. But the father discovered in three days that it was not only the Taliban who married her and had sex, but four raped her every night. The father went to the district governor and they told him there was nothing he could do. Whatever could be done, he had to do it himself, ”the frightened Fariha narrated.
